Mahindra BE.07 and Vision T: no October launch, and what Mahindra has actually said

Car listing pages are showing an October 2026 launch for the Mahindra BE.07, some with a 13 October date attached, and Mahindra has published nothing that supports either. The company's own plan, set out at a press conference on 5 May 2026, puts the production BE.07 in 2027. If you are deciding between waiting for it and buying one of the three INGLO EVs on sale, start with the Mahindra BE 6 and its two siblings.

The confusion comes from two things landing together: fresh test sightings of a boxy electric SUV that looks like the Vision T concept, and the BE.07 concept's long-standing place on launch calendars. Neither is a launch announcement, and the Mahindra Group newsroom showed no BE.07 or Vision T release when we checked it on 8 October 2026.

    What Mahindra has confirmed

At the 5 May 2026 briefing, Mahindra said it plans 16 SUV launches in India by 2031: 10 with combustion engines and six electric. That replaced the plan it announced in 2024 of nine combustion models and seven EVs by 2030, more than half of which it said had been delivered by 31 March 2026.

Figures from Mahindra's product-plan briefing of 5 May 2026 and the Mahindra Group newsroom, checked 8 October 2026. Every battery, range and price figure for the BE.07 in circulation is outside these documents.

Range and price figures you may see

Listing pages quote BE.07 prices around ₹25 lakh to ₹30 lakh, batteries of 60kWh to 80kWh and ranges up to 650km. Mahindra has published none of these. Treat every one as an estimate by whoever printed it, with no test cycle attached.

Vision T is a concept, not a model with a date

Vision T is one of the four concepts Mahindra showed on the NU_IQ platform in August 2025, and it is the one that looks most like a modern Thar. NU_IQ is designed to carry combustion and electric drivetrains, so a production Vision T could be either or both. Mahindra has not said which, has not given a date and has not linked Vision T to any of the six EVs in the 2031 plan. Electric Thar talk is a reasonable reading of the concept, not a confirmed product. For what is buyable on 8 October 2026, see the XEV 9e and the XEV 9S.

Should you wait for the BE.07?

If you need a car before the end of 2026, no. A 2027 production date for a car whose price and battery have not been announced means a wait of well over a year for most buyers. If you are shopping in Mahindra's range, the useful comparison is between the three INGLO cars already on sale, which our comparison tool sets side by side on Mahindra's own figures.

If you are not in a hurry and want a tall, square, five-seat Mahindra EV rather than the coupe-roofed BE 6, the BE.07 is worth waiting to see. Track Mahindra's EV volumes on our EV sales tracker in the meantime; a model that is selling well gets its successor's features sooner.

    The ThatsmyEV Take

We think the October BE.07 date is a listing-site artefact that has hardened into an expectation, and buyers are delaying purchases on the back of it. Mahindra's only on-record date is 2027, and its May plan was explicit about it.

What decides the BE.07's timing is not readiness but sequencing. Mahindra has three INGLO cars on sale and a fourth would split showroom attention while the XEV 9S is still new. The company has every reason to hold the BE.07 until the existing three have peaked, and nothing in its statements suggests otherwise.

For a buyer on 8 October 2026: do not hold a Navratri or Diwali purchase for the BE.07 or an electric Thar. If you want a Mahindra EV, choose between the BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S on what you need, and ThatsMyEV will report the BE.07 the day Mahindra puts a date on it.

    Frequently Asked Questions

When will the Mahindra BE.07 launch?

Mahindra said on 5 May 2026 that the production BE.07 is slated for 2027. It has not announced a launch date, and the October 2026 date shown on listing pages does not come from Mahindra.

Is the Mahindra BE.07 launching in October 2026?

No Mahindra statement supports an October 2026 launch. The Mahindra Group newsroom showed no

BE.07 announcement when checked on 8 October 2026, and its official plan puts the car in 2027.

What is the price of the Mahindra BE.07?

Mahindra has not announced a price. Figures of ₹25 lakh to ₹30 lakh in circulation are estimates, not Mahindra statements, and should be treated as unconfirmed.

What is the range of the Mahindra BE.07?
