MG Motor India is Set to Bring the IM6 to India

MG Motor India is Set to bring the IM6 to India: MG Motor, in collaboration with its premium sub-brand IM (Intelligence in Motion), is set to launch the IM6, a landmark premium electric SUV engineered to challenge the very best in the premium EV segment.

Rooted in SAIC Motor's most advanced platform and co-developed with technology partners Alibaba and Zhangjiang Hi-Tech, the IM6 is not merely a car, it is a statement of intent: that intelligence, comfort, and electrifying performance can coexist at a class-defying price point.

    ELECTRIFYING PERFORMANCE

▸ 0-100 kmph in 3.5 seconds. The IM6 Performance Launch Edition delivers a combined 742 bhp through dual electric motors and permanent all-wheel drive, hurling this full-size SUV to 100 kmph in a supercar-rivalling 3.5 seconds. The Long Range variant offers a more measured 402 bhp with a 5.4-second sprint.

▸ 388 miles of real-world range, powered by a 96.5 kWh usable capacity NMC lithium-ion battery, the IM6 Long Range achieves up to 388 miles on the WLTP cycle, matching or exceeding rivals priced significantly higher.

▸ Ultra-rapid 800V charging: Featuring 800V electric drive architecture with a peak DC charging rate of up to 396 kW, the IM6 replenishes from 10% to 80% in just 17-18 minutes, among the fastest charging speeds in any production SUV today.

    INTELLIGENT TECHNOLOGY & SIGNATURE FEATURES

▸ Active Road Noise Cancellation (RNC): The IM6 introduces a sophisticated Road Noise Cancellation system embedded within its 16-speaker 7.1.4 spatial audio setup, complete with four overhead Sky Speakers. RNC actively monitors and suppresses road and tyre noise in real time, creating an eerily hushed cabin atmosphere that lets passengers enjoy music, conversation, or silence with equal clarity.

▸ 30-litre expandable storage area: A cleverly engineered 30-litre hidden storage compartment is integrated into the cabin architecture, expanding seamlessly to accommodate everyday essentials, from bags and gadgets to travel necessities, without compromising the interior's premium aesthetic. Total boot capacity stands at 665 litres, growing to 1,640 litres with rear seats folded.

▸ Rainy Night Mode (AI-enhanced visibility): An industry-first AI vision system enhances the vehicle's camera feed in low-light and adverse weather conditions, reproducing a sharper, rain-interference-free view of pedestrians and vehicles directly on the 26.3-inch infotainment display.

▸ IM AD Intelligent Driving System: Equipped with LIDAR, 12 cameras, 5 millimetre-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, all processed by an NVIDIA Orin N compute platform. The IM6 supports Level 3 autonomous driving functions, one-touch autonomous parking, and a 100-metre reverse-track memory feature.

▸ Four-wheel steering system. An intelligent rear-wheel steering system reduces the turning radius to just 5.1 metres. Remarkable for a vehicle approaching five metres in length, making urban manoeuvring as effortless as open-road driving. LUXURY INTERIOR & COMFORT

▸ 26.3-inch curved infotainment display spanning the dashboard width, complemented by a 10.5-inch centre console screen

▸ 16-speaker premium sound system with 7.1.4 spatial audio and 4 Sky Speakers for immersive in-cabin entertainment

▸ 265-way ambient interior lighting, fully customisable to create personalised driving atmospheres

▸ 12-way electrically adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation across all grades

▸ Panoramic glass roof delivering an airy, open cabin feel for every passenger

▸ Wireless smartphone charging and USB-C connectivity throughout.
