Tata Harrier EV review by ThatsmyEV team
Our Take
The Harrier EV is Tata's clearest statement about what a premium EV from an Indian company can be. A full-size five-seat electric SUV at 4,607 mm, longer than the Creta Electric, wider than the Curvv EV, taller than the BE 6, with 500+ km real-world range on the 75 kWh pack, India's only AWD electric SUV with terrain modes, a perfect BNCAP crash safety score, and a Samsung Neo QLED infotainment at the top trim. It is the most complete large-format EV Tata has ever built.
Battery
65 kWh RWD (Adventure 65, Adventure S 65, Fearless + 65):
Charging
DC fast charging: 100 kW (65 kWh) and 120 kW (75 kWh) via CCS2. 20–80% in approximately 25 minutes on all variants. For a full-size SUV, this is a practical highway charging stop. Compatible with Tata Power EZ Charge Mega Chargers and all CCS2 networks.
Driving feel
The Harrier EV drives with the planted, assured character that made the petrol Harrier a buyer favourite. The 2,741 mm wheelbase contributes to stability that is immediately apparent on highways. Variable Gear Ratio steering reduces effort at low speed and increases feel at highway speed, it is well-calibrated for a car this size.
Safety
Bharat NCAP 5 stars: 32/32 in Adult Occupancy Protection. A perfect score. 45/49 in Child Occupancy Protection. The highest combined crash safety specification of any car reviewed on ThatsmyEV.
Interior and technology
The Harrier EV's cabin is the largest of any EV reviewed on ThatsmyEV. At 4,607 mm length with a 2,741 mm wheelbase, rear legroom and kneeroom are genuinely class-leading. Adults of any height can sit comfortably in the back for a full day's drive. A practical differentiator from the Curvv EV's coupe roofline or the Creta Electric's compact dimensions.
